BEAT is an independent charitable trust working with a range of partners to bring about positive environmental change.
BEAT’s Climate Change Team is supporting action to reduce CO2 emissions. Our Community Building Energy Management Support Project is supporting community buildings in West Yorkshire and the South Pennine Leader Area to reduce their carbon footprint. This work is focussed on improving energy and water management by equipping organisations with the knowledge and awareness to adopt good practice on a permanent basis through a range of activities – energy auditing and action planning, training and development of resource packs etc.
The project is one of four strands in the “Community Cascade” initiative, a wider programme for community buildings which also offers support to improve marketing, community cohesion and income generation. It is also funded in its own right by the South Pennine Leader Fund.
We are seeking an experienced project manager with excellent knowledge and experience of energy efficiency to work alongside a Project Co-ordinator in delivering this exciting initiative. This post will deliver energy management support to community buildings across the two areas - West Yorkshire and the South Pennines (which overlap). The role will also involve work to develop the project by building new partnerships with other environmental support organisations.
The post is full time and funded until Oct 2012
