BEAT Community Energy Support

BEAT have recently started a new energy and water efficiency project providing support to community centres across West Yorkshire. 

This project is part of the Community Cascade project - a partnership project funded by the Big Lottery fund and coordinated by fit4funding.  BEAT are providing similar support to community centres based within the South Pennine LEADER area, funded by the South Pennine LEADER fund (the LEADER fund is jointly funded by Defra and the European Union).

BEAT can offer the following services to your community centre:

  • Training, workshops and events on energy and water efficiency
  • Exchange visits to share learning and experiences between community centres
  • Support materials and efficiency toolkits (soon to be available)
  • Funding advice and support (for energy efficiency measures only - fit4funding are providing training and support for income generation and sustainability for a variety of grants and loans)
  • Detailed energy and water efficiency audits
  • Support through installation measures

BEAT will provide support to every community organisation, and all our support is free.  To qualify for detailed audits and support with installation measures, BEAT request that community centres fill in a simple online form (soon to be available - currently available by email/hard copy).  If you are enthusiastic and would like to improve your energy efficiency, BEAT want to work with you!
