The e-BEAT is our free quarterly e-newsletter, and we'll let you know about the work we are doing and how we're making a difference in Bradford and the region. We'll also e-mail you from time to time about other related things we think you might be interested in.
Become a member
As a member of BEAT you will receive the e-BEAT, our quarterly newsletter, and you will be able to attend our board meetings and Annual General Meeting where you will have the opportunity to contribute and have your say in BEAT's development. As a member, you are entitled to vote at our AGM and stand for election as a Trustee/Director if you wish. For administrative purposes membership costs £1.
Our members help to ensure that we keep in touch with what the people of Bradford want, ensuring that our services are meeting the needs of the environment and the community. Our membership is valuable in demonstrating our transparency and accountability to our existing and potential funding bodies. After all, people are at the heart of what we do.
Volunteer
There are many opportunities to volunteer with BEAT and we value peoples' skills and experience. Volunteers have been involved with BEAT since it began and they have made a huge contribution to our work. Volunteer placements can be either short or long-term, depending on the nature of the work and the time the individual is prepared to give. We have a high number of regular and casual volunteers. Where possible, we try to find work to suit the person's desires, skills and abilities so that both the individual and BEAT can gain something positive, in order to help us in our mission to work towards a healthy, sustainable environment for all people in the Bradford District.

Trustees receive an induction and training. Board meetings are held monthly, usually on the first Wednesday of every month between 6.30pm and 8.30pm.
We are particularly keen to recruit a more diverse board of trustees, and we welcome applications from all sections of the community.
