This year's campaign will be sponsored by the Environment Agency, with a national campaign running from 31st January to 5th June. Grants are available up to £50. If you are planning an environmental project which will take place before 5th June, or have a good idea, then contact BEAT who will be happy to support your application for a grant for up to £50. Grant monies are available for promotional material including certificates and a media toolkit. Project could include litter picks, planting, building bat boxes or creating footpaths. BEAT would be particularly supportive of projects from individuals and groups within the Bradford district which are deemed to be disadvantaged. Projects already arranged: 20th May at Cullingworth Primary School - Flying High - making bird boxes. 7th - 11th June at Knowle Park Allotments, Keighley - All volunteers welcome for erecting sheds and many other tasks. |
