Here at Bradford Real Nappy Project we sell our super value starter kits, which are available one per baby for all those who live in Bradford Metropolitan District - which includes the Keighley area. There are three types and they work out at about half the retail price. We can offer these low prices as we are a charity with funding from Bradford Vision, DEFRA and CRED (lottery fund).
Click here for more information on starter kits.
We also sell further low cost nappies for those on means tested benefits (like income support) who live in the Bradford MDC, thus enabling them to buy their full set of nappies at a discounted price. E-mail us for details at nappy@beat.org.uk
Alternatively, you can come and look at our nappy library and see a huge range of nappies. We can tell you where to buy the ones you like. You can pick up a bucket at the same time if you want to! Give Cathy, Judy or Kauser a call to arrange a time on 01274 718420
“The Nappy Train”
As well as providing a nappy laundry service the Nappy Train also sells nappies for you to wash at home. They stock prefolds, terries at very low prices, and also tots bots and some great wraps, and can get you just about anything else to order. They carry samples of lots of nappies so do visit them and see what you would like to buy. They have an office on Manningham Lane and are there most Mon to Weds, or ring to arrange a time.

“Baby-Bean”
Based in Oakworth, Baby-Bean offers internet, mail-order and local sales of a range of beautifully shaped and stuffable nappies, plus quality terries. Demonstrations and nappy trials can be arranged. Victoria is a very knowledgeable nappy enthusiast so do contact her for more details, 01535 644 800 or visit: www.baby-bean.com
Other shops selling a limited range of real nappies – as well as flushable nappy liners include:
BabyScene on Bradford Road near Riddlesden, Keighley sell Bambino Mio (we favour these compared to cotton bottoms the other major brand of prefolds as their covers have gussets – better for leak protection).
Tesco’s in Bradford no longer sell Kooshies, but still have liners.
Boots sell terries, pins, nappi nippas and their own shaped nappy all in one nappy and “cotton bottoms” (a prefold). Their range seems to vary and are only in the bigger stores.
Mothercare sell Kooshies and terries.
Big W sell “cotton bottoms”
Do let us know if you know of other real nappy sellers locally. |
