Bradford Environmental Action Trust

For a gift with a difference that will last for generations and benefit our local environment why not 'Gift a Tree'. For £5 we will plant a native tree as part of a new woodland within the Bradford district.

For an extra £2 we will post you a gift card to mark your contribution to the creation of the new wood and a location map. Or, if you wish, we can email an electronic gift card free of charge to mark your contribution.

Forest of Bradford will ensure the establishment of your tree with a two year maintenance program.

Why Gift a Tree

• Trees provide a new habitat for plants, birds, animals and insects benefiting local biodiversity
• Trees help reduce the effects of heavy rainfall by absorbing water, helping to prevent flash flooding, which is on the increase in the district
• Trees help create attractive green spaces, encouraging local investment in the area and a sense of local pride
• Trees provide a range of health benefits, cleaning the air we breath, shading us from harmful sun rays and create a sense of well being
• Trees provide employment for local people and useful products including food, timber and renewable energy crops

If you wish, you can really make it personal, by joining our team of staff and volunteers and planting it yourself.

To keep our woods as natural as possible, individual trees are not marked in any way.

If you would like to Gift a Tree to mark a birthday, wedding, anniversary, bereavement or any other event please complete the online form below, call us on 01274 718420 or e-mail admin@beat.org.uk or you can download the form at the bottom of this page and post or fax it back to us.
